American actress and producer Renée Zellweger first became well known when she acted in Jerry Maguire (1996). She has also received Academy Award nominations for her roles as Bridget Jones in the comedy Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) and as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago (2002). In 2003, Renée Zellweger finally won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Cold Mountain (2003). In addition, Renée Zellweger has won three Golden Globe Awards and three Screen Actors Guild Awards, was named Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year in 2009. In recent years, Renée Zellweger has also established herself as one of the highest-paid Hollywood actresses. Renée Zellweger made fun of her relationship with Carrey during Saturday Night Live when she read an entry from her own “diary”. “Dear Diary”, she said, “I can’t believe I am dating Jim Carrey.” Following Carrey, Renée Zellweger dated The White Stripes singer Jack White for two years. They met while filming Cold Mountain and only started dating after the film was finished. Their breakup was caused by schedule demands but was said to be amicable.
Renée Zellweger has also been married once. She married singer Kenny Chesney in a ceremony at the island of St. John. Apparently they had met earlier that year, in January 2005, at a tsunami relief event. But happiness in this case was short lived. After a brief four months, the couple announced that the marriage would be annulled. The media got hold of papers in which Renée Zellweger cited “fraud” as the reason for the annulment. But on protracted media scrutiny Renée Zellweger verified that she meant the term in simple legal terms and not to cast slurs on her husband’s character. Renée Zellweger has been dating Bradley Cooper since 2009 to the present.
